The Frigiliana Market is every Thursday morning from 8am until around 2pm.
It is located at the Plaza de las Tres Culturas inthe centre of the village. There are appoximately 50 stalls selling everything from clothes, hats, shoes, leather goods, handbags, fruit and veg, sweets, cakes, art, jewelry, ceramics and local crafts.
There are plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants, not only on the Plaza de las Tres Culturas but within a very short walk. There is also a children’s playground just under El Ingenio.
The Sunday Nerja market is located in the Almijara II area of the town between 830/9am and 2pm. Referred to as the ‘Rastrillo’ it is more of a flea market selling everything and anything.
Head East out of the town on Calle San Miguel towards Maro, then at the Burriana roundabout take the third exit to Calle Julio Romero. The road bears right after around 250 metres and then another 250 metres further along turn left on Calle Cisne (or just follow the crowds) into to Almijara II.
Haggling is expected and beware of pickpockets.
